first of all it will probably be a complete bukkit server whit quite some plugins, but you can chose to play vanilla if wanted.
we use creeperhost and we hardly have any lagg at all. i am not really sure for you since we use an german host, but it shouldnt be much

rigth to the case: me, pol and jolly are currentlly thinking about setting up a server and may get it today 5.september.
